As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I watched 'The Greatest Story Ever Told' today. The story of the events of Christ's life. I've always found the story to be quite compelling.I just realized it's Easter day tomorrow.

@Epsilon0 You must be at least 8 hours a head of me then.
I am in Scandinavia. Where are you? Here's it's Easter Eve.
I'm east coast USA. Easter eve? Sorry i thought you said it was Easter already there. My bad.
I'm fascinated by all mythologies and I studied the gospels at school. Not John though, for some reason they wouldn't let us read John.As a once christian, Easter holds a special place in my heart. I can still read the gospels during time of profound sorrow. Although they hold no religious significance, they fill my heart with beauty and the possibility that there could exist a world ruled by a loving god who watches over us, sooths my troubled mind.

That's what I said. You missunderstood me correctly.
It's just that the big Easter party is on Easter Eve here.

That actually made my childhood Catholic wince.
No traumas but I was taught by nuns and priests. I actually assumed they all thought it was allegorical.View attachment 31567
I know EXACTLY what you mean.
You struggle to master your arrogance, I work hard to master my childhood traumas about religion and sin :(

That really pisses me off that religion would do that to a child. I still believe religions have some underlying value but it makes me angry that everyone gets hung up on the mythology and rewrites the narrative in order to control. Guilt should not be used to drive home values. That's not the message I got from the gospels anyway. What an innocent lamb you were! And smart as well
By the age of 10 I was convinced I had committed several mortal sins and had recurring nightmares about the devil taking me to hell. I had troubles sleeping and was obsessed with the mantra : thou shall not sin in words, in acts or in thoughts. The latter was my biggest challenge and the reason I believed I would burn in hell. I had "impure" thoughts.
