Another memory comes to mind often, a more innocent one, no meth involved this time:
Seeing Saturn through a telescope when I was about 8 or 9. My cousin was 15 and had a telescope that wasn't especially expensive, but it must have been good enough and all the conditions were right, since we saw Saturn several times (we tracked it after our original sighting), through the lens, it must have been the size of a... blueberry maybe? And we could see the rings very, very clearly.

Pure magic and awe :)
hey, we have something else in common! I have a telescope (actually a pretty good one) and Saturn is one of my favorite objects. I have very fond memories showing my daughter Saturn and Jupiter beginning when she was around 7 or 8.

Yes, it's amazing how clearly you can see it when the timing's right! I must truly give credit to my cousin, I don't suppose he stumbled onto Saturn accidentally so he must've done his homework right, for a 14/15 year old who never paid any attention in school.

I suspect you're right that he did a bit of homework to find it. Glad you've had a chance to see something like that!

Thank you :)

Come to think of it, it was probably the first and last sighting of that magnitude I've ever experienced. I'm glad you saw it too, and thankful that even at such a young age, I grasped the scale and enormity of it.

It's hard to choose one from those few great memories, so I'll describe pretty recent day. It was exactky 21th Semptember this year, a day after I moved away from parents to the other side of country because of college. I already had a few friends at new place, one of them is a musician. His band had small concert. That was amazing night – great people, great music, finally feeling free from all the toxic people from my hometown. That was one of the best days (or nights) in my life, yeah. I miss that night.

Random childhood memory: I grew up pretty poor so didn't experience things that most kids I knew could. A friend from school (I think I was in 6th grade) invited me to go with his family to an amusement park. They were a very sweet interracial family and made me feel welcome and wanted. I've always remembered how much fun I had that day and how sad I was when they dropped me back off at my home. Still one of my fondest memories...

I still smile now when I recall my 11 year birthday,it's the happiest moment of my life.I was so happy surrounded by my childhood friends and Snowbell. He is a dog,but for me he's my little brother, the one I loved the most in the world, he's the embodiment of my carefree childhood. He's the only family that ever made me feel love.I still miss him to this day,I can hardly restrain my tears when I think about him.
After I die,I can be with him again,he'd be wagging his tail, jumping into my arms, licking me all over just like before. The thought makes death so appealing.

I think that most of us are spending their time thinking about all the bad things that happend in their life. But what about the happy moments? If it's comfortable of course, I would like to hear about the happiest memory you've got^-^

PS: Please don't judge my english, I'm from germany^^"
They have been overshadowed by the many many bad ones. I can't remember good times I once had anymore.

Only one .. when i kissed my first and only gf and got to drive her home. The happiness was shortlived though. But that night was probably the only i could ever remember as being sheer euphoria.

The night my partner kissed me for the first time the year and a half that followed was the only time I've ever been happy but she ended it a few months ago so it's all gone and I'm back to where I use to be with this week being my last

My happiest memories where of an online roleplay event back in around febuary of 2013.

Or rather the skype calls during it, surrounded by friends, all this of us laughing, dramatic reading either our lines or other characters.

Ive lost touch with those friends, but I'll never forget those days...

I can only imagine how it must be considering your past and present. Hopefully there is still such a moment waiting for you that will overshadow all the rest with happiness. (Before the unevetable at least)

I don't have a happiest memory that i can remember anymore, but I do have a ton of little ones that make me smile to think about!
  • The first time I ever saw the ocean. (I was 16. I saved up all my money from christmas and my birthday to go on a trip by myself)
  • The first time I saw my brother get a tackle in one of his football games.
  • The day i discovered my favorite icecream.
  • Any time I go to Panera with my best friend
  • The first time I ever went to an amusement park (I was 14)
  • My first job! (It was such a fun job)
  • Going to the west coast
  • the day i got my nose pierced
  • The second time I went to a casino (the first time was really bad all around)

Ah, childhood. I wish I could turn back time.
So many lovely memories... going to the zoo, playing with my friends, videogames, movies/cartoons, walks in nature, going fishing, catching lizards and insects, reading books, drawing, spending a winter evening by the fire at my grandparent's house, daydreaming for hours... too many to list all of them.
Lately not much. False hopes, drugs... eh, whatever. That's life I guess.

I have a lot of happy memories, mostly from my last relationship, but I'd say the most perfect one, the one that seems like a cheesy romcom come to life, would have to be after my boyfriend and I saw a play together by one of his favorite living playwrights. We got coffee and hot chocolate, then we went walking through an older part of Paris in the rain, joking about how stereotypical it all was. I kissed him, and it felt like everything was worth it -- all the disappointment, the depression, the fear, the hatred and anger seemed to be justified by that one crystalline moment where I was with the man I love in the city I love. Better times.

Falling in love with my girlfriend. The early weeks were magical.

Oh me too! The feelings were so intense, it was the best sex of my life. I'm still with him but my mental illness has taken a toll on our bond.

The happiest memory I had was last summer I was with my wife and she just got off work and she wanted to cook something for me since her grandparents were on vacation and we were watching the house for them. I told her to sit down and relax and I would cook. So I made her something new for the first time and she loved it. We sat in her grandparents chairs and watched tv together and in that moment, I knew this was going to be us later in the future...

don't know a special memory or how to categorize. I think the happiest memory is being loved by someone more than being loved by anyone else (or being loved at all), and feeling the same for that person.
